Notary fees
The notary fees consist of the following three elements:
- the duties and taxes which the notary forwards to the state treasury,
- reimbursement of expenses for services and external documents required for project implementation (public register of lands, mortgage registry, land-surveyor, ...),
- notary fees strictly speaking, which reward the notary’s and his staff’s work; they are set by grand-ducal regulation.
Only the third category of costs constitutes the remuneration of the notary, the other two are collected on behalf of the Administration of Registration and Domains, or related to the costs incurred by the notary.
